We’re pleased to announce that Lisa Valdivia of Texas is the recipient of Turner Pest Control’s $1,500 scholarship, awarded June 15. The scholarship was offered to a deserving student in the U.S. who had been accepted to a university, college, or trade school, and submitted an essay related to “Technology in Local Businesses.”
The winning essay, “Connected Devices in Small Business,” forecasts the importance that data and connectivity may have in the pest control industry, such as greater control over the delivery of pest control services and shortened response times for customers.
The Turner Pest Control Scholarship was established as part of our ongoing commitment to support important initiatives that improve the quality of life both within and outside of our community. We send our congratulations to Ms. Valdivia, who will be attending Texas A&M University in the fall to pursue her Master of Architecture degree. We wish her the best of luck in her college career!
